Scott Patterson

Accomplished Information Security executive with over 15 years in organizational leadership roles and proven experience in strategizing and developing enterprise security programs for highly regulated organizations in healthcare, financial services, insurance and the United States Air Force.

Scott has been operating in the security space for over fifteen years beginning his career in the Air Force where he worked in the Communications Squadron securing bases throughout the United States and overseas. Air Force bases house a multitude of industries ranging from financial services, education services, legal, e-commerce, Medical and Dental facilities. After the Air Force, Scott worked for Chubb and Son (Senior Manager), AT&T (Director) and was promoted to Chief Information Security Officer for a financial services print-manufacturing vendor.  He turned around an underperforming security management system while leading teams throughout the U.S., achieving multiple regulatory compliance/frameworks (PCI, ISO, COBIT), privacy and changing the corporate culture. Scott’s also served as a CSO in the e-commerce space (Time Inc.) where he turned around their information security strategies, achieved compliance and ensured the safeguarding of consumer’s PII while shopping online.

Scott was recently designated as the sector chief of the Communications sector and serves as a Governor of the InfraGard program, a national protection and information sharing effort between the US government, corporate and other business entities. In addition to being a member of the FBI’s program, Scott is an instructor for Safe and Secure Online which is a program developed to teach children from elementary through High School how to safely search and secure their identities online. Scott’s other memberships include: the International Association of Privacy Professionals and International Information Systems Security Consortium’s Philadelphia Chapter and ISACA.

 Scott holds a BS in Information Technology and scheduled to complete his Masters of Science in Information Security in 2015.

 Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert, Security (CCIES)
