Brad Bowers

Brad has been a member of the Philadelphia InfraGard chapter for over 10 years.  As an InfraGard member Brad has been actively involved helping support the Philadelphia chapter's mission in various capacities including assisting with the arranging of events and venues to provide technical expertise and support. Brad has been a member of several collaborative projects between InfraGard, FBI, Defense Criminal Investigative Service members and other businesses including CITAS - Computer Intrusion Threat Assessment System which received an “Excellence in Government" award for Public Sector Involvement in 2010.

Professionally, Brad is the Sr. Information Security Assurance Manager at the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia. In this role Brad is responsible for the direction and operation of the District's Identity  & Access Management, Threat Management and Security Engineering functions.  Before joining the Federal Reserve in 2009, Brad was the Sr. Manager of Vulnerability & Threat Management at SunGard Availability Services where he assisted in the development of new security services as well as directed the daily operations for customer's managed security services.     
 
Brad has a Masters in Cyber Security from the University of Maryland University College and a Bachelor's in Computer Information Systems from Drexel University. He is a member of the SANS Institute's Incident Handling Advisory Board and has been a local Instructor for SANS' Incident Handling, Forensic Analysis and Intrusion Detection courses.  Brad has obtained numerous professional certifications including Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH), GIAC Certified Intrusion Analyst (GCIA),  GIAC Certified Forensics Analyst (GCFA) and Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP).
